Total Agritech imports of Ghana in 2023 including machines, agrochemicals and allied products touch USD 1.29 Bn, (despite Global and African recession). However we can see an increase in import volume of agrochemicals and more or less stable imports of other top imported categories in the sector.

Agrochemicals make the largest share it the Ghanaian agriculture importation all time with a value of USD 346 Mn imported in 2023 with a share of 27% in Ghanaian agritech imports, followed by self-propelled bulldozers, fertilizers and chemicals, pumps & motors for irrigation, tractors etc.

Pumps and motors is the 5th largest segment in the same, with about 5% share in the Ghanaian imports in the same time. And a similar share volume is held by tractors, parts & accessories of tractors etc., so this signifies the ongoing agriculture practice improvement in the country.
